HOUSTON, TX — May 10, 2026 — Tejas Research & Engineering, LLC (“Tejas”) today announced the successful deployment and production acceptance of its deep-set FlowGARDDS wireline-retrievable subsurface safety valve (SCSSV) in a Petrobras deepwater well offshore Brazil. The milestone marks the world’s first commercial installation of the FlowGARD-DS, a next-generation deep-set, wireline-retrievable hydraulic safety valve engineered to replace or restore production lost due to failed nitrogen-charged subsurface safety valves without requiring a full recompletion, thereby deferring or eliminating the need for a heavy workover.
